Hayden Hughes joins Abodoo as Board Advisor, Global Talent & RPO Strategy.
Strengthening the Future of Skills Intelligence
Abodoo™, powered by SIIO Skill Intelligence Infrastructure™, is delighted to announce the appointment of Hayden Hughes as Board Advisor for Global Talent & RPO Strategy.
With more than two decades of experience leading talent acquisition, workforce transformation and sourcing innovation across global enterprises, Hayden brings exceptional expertise in helping organisations navigate the rapidly changing world of work.
His career spans leadership roles across investment banking, pharmaceuticals, technology, healthcare and industrial sectors. Most recently, Hayden led Global Sourcing, Attraction and Talent Insight at AMS, where he pioneered data driven hiring strategies that enabled some of the world's largest organisations to identify, engage and retain critical talent in increasingly competitive markets.
Today, Hayden advises organisations on skills based hiring, workforce intelligence, internal mobility and operating model transformation, helping employers leverage AI and skills data to create more agile and future ready workforces.
His appointment comes at a defining moment for organisations worldwide as they shift from job based workforce planning to skills based talent strategies.
A Shared Vision for the Future of Talent
For years, employers have struggled with a simple but costly challenge: understanding the skills they already have and the skills they need next. Hayden believes that challenge is only accelerating.
"Skills have been the elephant in the room in talent acquisition for years. The skills gap continues to widen and AI is accelerating that challenge at an unprecedented pace.
Many organisations have invested significant time and resources creating their own taxonomies and ontologies, only to discover that skills are constantly evolving. It's like painting the Forth Bridge. The work never stops."
According to Hayden, the explosion of AI generated applications has created a new problem for recruiters.
"AI enabled CVs have made the recruiter's job significantly harder. Teams are drowning in application volume and spending hours trying to identify quality candidates.
What impressed me about Abodoo is that it focuses on what a role actually requires. Not simply what's written in a job description, but the skills needed to succeed. That means uncovering the silver medallist candidate hidden in an ATS, identifying talent already sitting within the organisation, and creating pathways for redeployment and reskilling."
He also highlighted the importance of continuously evolving skills intelligence.
"For once, this is technology that delivers on its promise. Implementation is straightforward, intervention is minimal, and the ontology is continuously updated. It includes the skills you're looking for today and the skills you'll need tomorrow.
Combined with Abodoo's learning ecosystem and partnerships, it finally bridges the gap between talent acquisition, workforce planning and learning."
"Vanessa and the team have built something that genuinely works. I'm excited to be part of what comes next."
Why This Matters
At Abodoo, we believe the world's biggest talent challenge is not a shortage of people. It is a shortage of visibility.
Skills exist everywhere across organisations, industries and communities. Yet too often they remain fragmented across systems, trapped inside job titles, or hidden within outdated workforce structures.
As enterprises accelerate their adoption of AI and redesign workforce strategies around skills, the need for real time, interoperable skills intelligence has never been greater.
Through SIIO™, Abodoo is building the infrastructure that enables organisations to identify, understand and activate skills at scale, connecting talent acquisition, internal mobility, workforce planning and learning into a single intelligence layer.
Hayden's appointment strengthens this mission by bringing deep expertise in global RPO, talent acquisition transformation and workforce intelligence directly into the strategic evolution of the platform.
From the CEO
"Hayden has spent more than twenty years helping some of the world's most demanding organisations find, engage and develop talent that others simply cannot see," said Vanessa Wainwright, Founder and CEO of Abodoo.
"His combination of global RPO expertise, skills based thinking and workforce intelligence leadership makes him an exceptional addition to our advisory board. As enterprises rethink hiring, mobility and workforce planning through a skills lens, Hayden's experience will be invaluable in helping us shape the future of skills intelligence."
Welcome, Hayden.
Together, we're helping organisations move beyond jobs, beyond CVs, and towards a future where skills are finally visible, measurable and actionable.
The future of work is skills first. We're building the infrastructure to make it possible.
